I’ve covered several of the most common and popular types of cannabis concentrates in the previous article, but it’s worth noting that the world of cannabis concentrates is continually evolving, and new varieties may emerge. Some additional types of concentrates that I didn’t mention in the previous article include the following.

Rosin is a solventless concentrate made by applying heat and pressure to cannabis flower or kief. This process squeezes out the essential oils and cannabinoids, resulting in a resinous substance that is safe and easy to produce at home. Rosin is versatile and can be dabbed, vaporized, or used to enhance joints or bowls.

Distillate is a highly refined cannabis concentrate with a clear appearance. It’s created by distilling cannabis oil to remove impurities and isolate specific cannabinoids, often with a focus on THC or CBD. Distillates are often used in vape pens and edibles due to their purity and high cannabinoid content.

Diamonds are crystalline formations that appear in live resin or sauce concentrates. They are particularly high in cannabinoids and have a visually striking appearance. Diamonds are often used for dabbing, and the surrounding terpene-rich sauce adds flavor and aroma.

Sauce, also known as terp sauce, is a highly aromatic concentrate that contains a high concentration of terpenes. It is often used alongside other concentrates, like diamonds, to enhance the flavor and overall experience. Sauce can be dabbed or vaporized.

Bubble Hash

Bubble hash is a concentrate made using a method that involves ice water and filtration to separate trichomes from the plant material. The result is a high-quality, resinous product that can be consumed through various methods, including dabbing or vaporizing.

CO2 Extracts

In addition to CO2 oil, there are various other types of concentrates derived using supercritical carbon dioxide extraction methods. These extracts are known for their purity and are used in vape cartridges and other products.

Terpene Isolates

Terpene isolates are concentrates that focus solely on the terpenes found in cannabis. They are used to enhance the flavor and aroma of other cannabis products or added to concentrates to modify their terpene profiles.

Concentrates are relatively new to the mainstream, so it helps to learn about the different ways we can extract a more pure form of THC from the plant.

While the list above covers a broader spectrum of cannabis concentrates, it’s important to remember that the cannabis industry is constantly evolving, and new products and extraction methods continue to emerge. The choice of which concentrate to use largely depends on individual preferences, the desired effects, and the intended method of consumption. As with any cannabis product, it’s crucial to follow local laws and regulations and consume responsibly.
